Disloyal Order Water Buffaloes - Fall Out Boy

The reason this song appeals to me is because I very much enjoy every aspect of this song: the lyrics, vocals, instrumental, tempo, and tone. This song has inspires me to consider having a music video that not only acts as visuals for the music, but also as a mini narrative which shows my personal feeling and interpretation of the song. Although my ideas for this said narrative are nowhere near finalised, my rough idea is to have a person trapped in a room with a bed, and various items and photographs across the floor; this person is trying to get out of the room, while a the singer of the song would be dressed as a doctor. I would choose to film this video either in the Morpeth School or a bedroom in my house, and I would also ask my male friend to act in the lip syncing shots.

Take Me To Church - Hozier

This song appeals to me because I like the song’s slow tempo and calm yet robust tone the lyrics are sung in. ‘Take Me To Church’ inspired me to consider a music video with simplistic visuals to convey the songs’ symbolic meaningful lyrics. My idea for the music video would be either a man or woman (depending on which version of the song I use) would be singing in a church while demon hands stroke their face and grab their body. In terms of production, for this video I either use a male actor for the lip-syncing (which would be performed by a male friend), or I would lip-sync if I used the Sofia Karlberg (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLQPJZEGPKo). Ideally, I would like the video to be shot inside St John’s Church in Bethnal Green, but if i couldn’t shoot in the Church, then I’d shot it into the Morpeth School drama department.

Doncamatic - Gorillaz (featuring Daley)

‘Doncamatic’ interests me because I find the song’s fast tempo and upbeat groovy instrumental very entertaining. This song makes me contemplate the idea of having a light hearted, colourful, and creative music video. For ‘Doncamatic’, my rough idea for the video is to focus on a child or young teenager’s bedroom, where a band would dress up as toys, playing instruments and lip syncing, whilst having a disco party in the child/young teenager’s room. My locations for this video would again be either the Morpeth School drama department or a bedroom in my house, and I would use friends as actors, as long as they are willing to take part.
