         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Executive Branch is led by the President of the United States, also the Commander in Chief and the Head of State, who is responsible for implementing laws and appointing heads of the federal agencies. The Cabinet is responsible for administration of federal laws. Their powers include:<br><br>1. Commander in chief of armed forces and state militias.<br><br>2. The power to pardon people convicted of federal crimes.<br><br>3. The power to create treaties with the advice and consent of the Senate.<br><br>4. Meet with Head of State, ambassadors and other foreign officials.<br><br>5. The power to appoint judges, officials and ambassadors.</div>]]></description>

Their main powers include:<br><br>1. The economic power to levy taxes.<br><br>2. The power to declare war.<br><br>3. The power to organize militia.<br><br>4. The power to establish courts.<br><br>5.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The responsibility of the Judicial Branch, which includes the Supreme Court, is to make sure that the Constitution is upheld and interpreted correctly in the court of law. Their main powers include:<br><br>1. Jurisdiction, or the power to interpret federal and constitutional law.<br><br>2. Give precedent for future laws and cases.<br><br>3. Each of he 94 U.S. Courts has the power of jurisdiction.<br><br>4. Conduct trials, which is the hearing and judgement of a case in court.<br><br>5. Judicial Review, which is the power to determine the constitutionality of laws and executive acts.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>13th Amendment</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In Article V of the Constitution, the ability to make Amendments to the Constitution. The 13th Amendment was passed in 1865 and formally abolished slavery in the United States. I believe this is one of the most important Amendments to the Constitution because it freed my ancestors from a lifetime of torture and secured freedom for minorities who were enslaved. If not for this Amendment, I would be a slave today and wouldn't have the opportunity to say or do what I would like.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The 19th Amendment, ratified in 1920, ensured that all people above the age of 18 in America, men and women alike, were allowed the freedom to vote. This Amendment was a huge step towards equality to men and women, which is also a step for minorities, for members of LGBTQ, and others who are oppressed in America. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Legislative Branch has impeachment powers over the federal officers in the Executive Branch. The Supreme Court, a part of the Judicial Branch, cannot be fired or impeached by the Executive Branch. The Executive Branch may make foreign treaties, but the Legislative Branch must approve them. The Legislative Branch may also implement investigative actions towards the Executive Branch.</div>]]></description>

This is to ensure that the legislative and executive Branches will be modified to fit the long-term health of the country that they will occupy, as opposed to the older generation who is more concerned with short-term health.
