Example: I chose to create a Storyboard for the scene where Luke discovers someone in his neighbor's house. I included Luke's shocked expressions as he realizes he isn't as alone as he previously thought. This scene is important to the story because without this moment, he wouldn't have tried to meet Jen.

Example:

April 7th, 2057

Dear Luke,

I am writing this letter in case things at the rally don't go quite as planned. I know that I will make it back and be able to deliver the amazing news to you in person, but this is just a back-up.

Example: I chose to use a mainly black and white theme because I think the idea of shadows is an important concept in the book. I used red letters so that they stood out and drew people's attention to my hints about what the movie is about. You can see the outline of Jen on the right side at the bottom. I wanted her to make an appearance but the focus to be on Luke in the middle. I also made her an outline to draw back to the idea of her being a shadow child.

Luke sat in the attic, heart pounding, hours after Jen had left for the rally. He hadn’t been able to stop her. She was determined—fearless. But now, all he could do was wait.

Then, just as the sun began to dip below the horizon, he heard tapping at his window. His breath caught. Slowly, he crept toward the glass and pulled back the curtain.

It was Jen.

She was bruised, scraped, and her eyes were red—but she was alive.

Luke yanked the window open. “Jen!” he hissed. “I thought—”

“I know,” she whispered, hoisting herself through the window. “I thought I was going to die too.”

“What happened?”

“We barely made it out,” she said, collapsing onto the attic floor. “The Population Police were waiting. They’d been tipped off. I think someone’s parents got scared and talked. They arrested some of the others... but I escaped.”

Luke:uhhhh sorry I hope you get better soon

(Jen looks at Luke like he just spoke gibberish

Jen: get better soon really dude you suck at comforting people

Luke: was it really that bad

Jen :yes

(Jen burst out laughing)

Luke:its really not that funny

Jen: it really is

(time skip to when there about 20 and they are dating)

(Luke pretends to drop a pencil and pulls a ring out his pocket)

Luke; Jen will you married me

(Jen was completely zoned out thinking about who knows what)

Luke: earth to Jen you alive in there

jen: wait whats happening

Luke:..

Jen: what

Luke: will u married me

Jen: oh ofcourse\

(fast forward a few years they have triplets named Gerald Debra and Kesha)

in summary: Jen survives but didn't win the rally and also all of her friends are dead so when she gets back shes being a cry baby and Luke attempts to comfort her but him being a introvert fails miserably but since Jen cant take him seriously Jen burst out laughing fast forward in there teenage years of dating

they are in love sunshine and rainbows then Luke proposes and Jen says yes fast forward ten years they have three kids Debra Kesha and Darnold

I’m sorry. I really thought I’d be okay. I thought I’d come back from the rally and we’d laugh and talk and everything would change. But I guess I was wrong.

If you’re reading this, then I didn’t make it. I didn’t want this to happen. I was scared too. But I had to try. I had to do something. Because hiding forever isn’t living.

You were the first person who actually got me. Who didn’t look at me like I didn’t belong. You made me feel like I mattered. That means everything.

Please don’t give up, even if it’s hard. I know you’re scared, but you’re stronger than you think. Keep going, for me. For all of us. For yourself.

I’ll miss you. I’ll always be with you.

Dear Luke,

I hope your going to be okay with out me in your life. Also I'm writing this letter because I know I won't be here much longer. I know things are going to be okay. Stay strong and don't let anything bother you. It might be hard you losing me but be strong like all those times we were together. Please don't give up on yourself.

Dear Luke, I've made up my mind to go to the rally.  I know you have your reason for not  going and I have mine.  I want to be free but if your seeing this letter and im not reading it to you something is wrong which i have a feeling that something is going to happen im not upset that your not coming the rally but you are brave no matter what but just incase i don't make it back thank you for being you. - Your friend Jen.
