The #Metoo movement is a perfect example of what feminist politics can contribute to help empower and find justice for those affected by someone more hierarchal. Without feminist politics, many women would not be seen, and women would not have the right to vote or speak up about sexual abuse. Imagine living in a world where women did not have to fight every day to be seen as worthy. This video that I have provided for you all made me realize that if it weren't for movements like these, many women would continue to stay quiet about issues and allow systems to take advantage of women.

Now that women hold positions of power in these institutions, they are still fighting for equal pay in their workforce. The median average earning of men in America who work full time make $941 per week compared to women who work full time only make $770 per week. These disparities have caused retired women to become twice as likely as retired men to be living in poverty. The picture that I have provided above exemplifies women protesting for their right to earn the same as their male counterparts. That is seen as the perfect family and a traditional one as well. Traditionalists believe that men should be the head of the household, and although this is something from the past, we continue to see families taking part in this practice. Over half of the families with incomes in the bottom, 20%, have at least one stay at home parent. Many families might also instill this because they might not have the extra money or help to have someone else take care of the children.
