living in a city has many advantages. Living in the city often means that you’ll be much more likely to use public transportation than your own car. Thankfully, most large urban areas have great public transit. Many people who once drove everywhere find that they enjoy reading or relaxing during their public transit commute to work or the grocery store. Public transport is a lifesaver as a city dweller or someone with a shorter commute.
However, living in a city is often very expensive. You must find a well-paid job, otherwise, you will not be able to afford the things you will do.

For example, when people get sick, hospitals are close to home. It can save a lot of time so that patients can get treatment earlier. So as not to miss the rescue time.

There will be a lot of noise living in the city. Because there will be a lot of cars and malls in the city, they will make a lot of noise every day. Especially the sound of the car's horn, which you hear while you are sleeping or working. It will make people's mood very irritable and angry.

We will be provided with more opportunities and more convenient access to advanced medical resources. For example, if we want to eat in the evening, we can always order take-out food to satisfy our hunger, and there will always be shops open.

There are also many problems in living in big cities. Besides, it also has convenient transportation facilities. For example, it is a few hundred meters away from my home and only takes a few minutes to walk to a bus station and subway station. I can reach any corner of the city with very little transportation cost.

disadvantage:However, big cities also have some impacts on my personal health. As there are a large number of people living in cities, people will produce a lot of household garbage every day. In order to maintain the social operation, a large number of cars are running on the road every day, which will produce a lot of pollution gas and noise pollution. And these problems may affect people's health in the long run and cause some chronic diseases, such as skin allergies and respiratory diseases

Secondly, there will be many good shopping malls in big cities, and we can see new things. If you take the high-speed train, you can get to Beijing in about 50 minutes.

One disadvantages of my city is some factories around Beijing will migrate to our city, resulting in poor air quality on our part.In some big cities, there will be a lot of people, traffic congestion, high house prices and other problems.

There are two sides to everything, so living in a big city has its advantages and disadvantages. I am living in Shanghai which is the most modern city in China.

One advantage of my city is convenient. The public transportation can take you to any corner of Shanghai, even to the cities surrounding Shanghai. The shopping mall can be found everywhere. The hospital with full medical facilities in each district. It also contains ten well-known universities. The biggest changes in convenience, as the times have changed, are reflected in two things: takeaways and digital payments. Foe example, When you open the takeaway app and place your order, it will be delivered to you within half an hour, including the possibility to book your takeaway in advance and have it delivered to you at a specified time. This includes the fact that nowadays people only need to carry a mobile phone when they go out, they don't need to carry a wallet, no matter where they go, they just need to open their mobile phone and scan the QR code to pay or receive money.

One disadvantage of my city is traffic jams. During the weekday commute rush hour, every road in Shanghai is filled with a large number of cars, both private and public transport. Although Shanghai's roads are already equipped with bus lanes and only buses can travel during the weekday rush hour, this still does not change the traffic congestion. With the government's license plate subsidy for the purchase of new energy vehicles, this has led to an increasing number of private cars. The main reason for this is that Shanghai licences are very difficult and expensive to buy. So much so that there are now traffic jams on the roads in Shanghai at weekends.

Grammar task

Enable —— let something be done possibly. However, it does have one disadvantage: it is not located near the sea, so seafood is more expensive than in some seaside towns.

There are many advantages of my city. Firstly, my city is located in the northwest of China so it is always snowy in the winter. This makes me like skiing very much. Because of the geographical location, the snow here is dry. Many people come here and enjoy the ski resort. The other advantage is that my city has lots of traditional food, such as kebab, pilaf and naan . The reason why is that my city has many ethnic minorities, and they spread their traditional culture. My favorite point is that the weather here is neither cold nor hot in summer, but there is a huge temperature difference between day and night. This cause the fruit are tastes sweet. There are also some disadvantages in my city too. For example, my city is the farthest city from the sea in China, so we hardly eat fresh seafood and can not go to the beach to enjoy the sunshine. What’s more, the economic isn’t development.

Introduction: Urbanization has been a global trend for several decades, and cities have been attracting more people for various reasons. However, city life is often associated with a plethora of issues such as pollution, congestion, and crime, which can have a profound impact on people's physical and mental health. Despite these challenges, some people argue that cities are still the best places for young people. In this essay, I will argue that while city life has its challenges, it offers unique opportunities and advantages that make it the best place for young people to live in.

Paragraph Plan:

Advantage of diverse cultures and experiences

Access to better education and career opportunities

Availability of diverse forms of entertainment and leisure activities

Opportunities for social and civic engagement

Disadvantages of city life: pollution, congestion, and crime

Conclusion: While city life is not without its challenges, the benefits and opportunities it offers make it the best place for young people to live in.

With the rapid economic development of various countries, urbanization is getting faster and faster. More young people choose to live in the city. Although living in the city, there are many problems. But all of these problems help us grow. And living in the city, we will have more opportunities and more opportunities to exercise ourselves. So in my opinion, young people should go to live in modern cities.

Paragraph plan:
Advantage: Living in the city, we will have more job opportunities and job choices.
Whether it's shopping or going to the hospital, being in the city is very convenient.

Disadvantage: There is a lot of noise in city life, and sometimes there will be traffic jams when you travel.

Conclusion: Although life in the city will encounter some problems, we can find ways to solve them. And the advantages of living in the city outweigh the disadvantages. So it is a good choice for young people to live in modern cities.

You need to be able to do some basic contrastive stress and emphasis with linking words in your speaking exam. This helps make your message more clear (you are using your voice along with the words) and you get higher marks.
You do not have to speak the same as a native speaker - you may not go as high in the voice, but that is OK. Do make sure that you have the word and sentence stress correct though.
Watch this video and practice
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MedvTj3t-w
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MedvTj3t-w
