My mother loved this book and she often read this to me, so I became to love this book too. This is the story of a boy and a tree growing up together. The tree helps the boy a lot till he becomes an old man. I felt this was a little bit sad story when I was a kid, but I recently realized that this is a heartwarming and touching story. I may have felt it was sad because I did not have any idea of what ‘touching’ is when I was a child. I sometimes read this book after growing up. It is a kid’s story, so the content is simple, but as I mentioned, it is heartwarming. My mother bought me a lot of books, so there are considerable books on bookshelves in my house. I remember being absorbed in books when I was little. Especially, my favorite picture book was “ Itazura Kaiju Toatoa”(Mischievous Dinosaur, Toatoa). I’m not sure why I loved the picture book so much, but I read it again and again by myself and asked my mother and sister to read me at bedtime. The leading character, little Toatoa, strays into a human’s home and a dining table where many dishes are put. He enjoys traveling and eating a variety of dishes on the table. Impressive scenes are ones Toatoa enters a box of cereal and jumps into a cup of hot chocolate. I was probably fascinated by the small size of Toatoa and the sense I could travel across the table with him, which I couldn’t do for real.

And a few years later, I read it to my brother and it is one of favorite books also for him. So, I have a lot of memories about this book. The story is twin mice, Guri and Gura play with snow. Then, they find big someone's footprints and they trace the footprints to know who's footprint. I remember that I was excited because who's the footprints are it.  This book is a lot of pretty illustrations so, you can enjoy reading it. Also, it is a book which the series of "Guri and Gura" so, there are another story of Guei and Gura. I would recommend the series of Guri and Gura.

The book was initially found in the hospital where I used to go, and my mother read it to me many times. But I still couldn't get enough of it, so I asked her to buy it for me and started reading it myself. The Japanese did not write this book. I think it was also fresh because it was based overseas though  I didn't realize it in the past. This story is about a hungry tiger which visited the home when a girl and her mother prepared tea time. They welcome him, but the tiger is so hungry that he eats all the food and water in the house. The tiger is so hungry that he eats all the food in the house, even water, but his father comes home from work and solves the problem.　The appeal of this book is the fantasy of a tiger coming to tea time and the heart-warming aspect of a family at peace with what must be a very serious problem. Also, the foreign customs and illustrations are fresh. My earliest memory of reading is the book titled “Soramame-Kun's bed.” This book taught me the importance of friends and the importance of lending them to other people. Soramame-Kun did not want to lend his precious bed to anyone, so he kept refusing to lend it to everyone, but one day the bed disappeared. At such time, friends around him lend their beds to Soramame-Kun and realize the importance of friends. I still remember learning this importance at a young age and trying to lend my things to my friends in kindergarten. Another characteristic of this book is that it features a food called “sora-mame” as the main character and is painted with colorful pictures. Children can learn not only compassion and kindness, but also names, sizes, colors, and many other things about beans. The title may make you think that the dinosaurs are going to attack and eat someone, but the real story is a touching and heartwarming one. There are many series and various dinosaurs appear in them. The main character, Tyrannosaurus, is a warm-hearted dinosaur, so any time you read any of these books, you will feel warm and fuzzy inside. There are many books in which the Tyrannosaurus struggles to save his friends, and there are also books in which the Tyrannosaurus gets hurt and cries. I love this wonderful picture book that my brother and I read to our mother every night. But it's also as fascinating as a horror movie. The picture is simple and cute with clear colors, so children can understand easily. The words are also very rhythmic and will be enjoyable for children. Because it is short, children can concentrate on reading until the end. This book is all written in hiragana, easy style Japanese, so I could read it myself as soon as I learn to read words. Another book written by the author of this book is also very attractive, and I read many of her books when I was little.
I think reading this book is effective when your child has a hard time sleeping.

That's all the book is about. The choices were a meal in a castle, breakfast in a balloon, or a snack in a river. There was also a choice: a house underwater, a house under snow, a house surrounded by jungle, and so on. I enjoyed talking with my mother and brother about the reason why we chose the selection. I could enjoy thinking about reason even if I read only by myself and also enjoy imagining the situation to choose one. Curiously, when the rabbit walks in the flower garden wearing the dress, the dress turns into a flower pattern, and when it rains, the dress turns into a polka dot pattern. The pattern of the dress changes one after another, which is very interesting. The pattern that the rabbit is wearing is very cute. I used to draw a dress design on other paper for the rabbit. I found out about this book through a reading session at the library where mothers volunteer to read to children. The story of this book is about a black crayon. He felt sad that he was the only one who hardly used the black crayons while the red, yellow and blue crayons with various bright colors were used a lot by the children and were very successful. Kuro-Kun was feeling sad, but Sharp Pencil-kun suggested that they paint the drawing paper with various colors and then paint over it with black. He was surprised at first, but when he scraped the black painted drawing paper into the shape of fireworks, bright colors appeared from underneath, completing a wonderful picture of fireworks. Thanks to this, Kuro-Kun was not ostracized and was able to stay close to his friends.
