Plants in our society and environment

I chose this picture because it was one of the easier ones to understand. You can clearly follow the process of how a plant is formed and how it grows to help us as a consumer.
If you read this picture backwards you can see that as a consumer if we didn't have water, the sun, or plants that we would eventually die off by way of chain reaction.

When I first saw this video I thought it was for children, but as I watched it the whole way through I realized that it was for high school and college aged people too. This video is really easy to watch and comprehend. It goes through all of the process and breaks it down all the way to a cellular level. The video even tells you scientific equation of the photosynthesis process.

I found a website that had all of the types of ferns at the Georgia Perimeter College Botanical Garden. I found this website very helpful because it give you all of the scientific names of each type of fern at the garden and the ones that are native to Georgia. The website also says if you can find a fern that likes to live in a desert climate then it would be more likely to survive in Atlanta.
http://www.gpcnativegarden.org/ferns.htm

Arctic Tundra

I believe the tundra biome is in the most danger out of all the biomes. More and more people are moving to this biome everyday, especially people in the oil industry. New roads are having to be built to accommodate the increased population as well. I found two websites that go into detail about the tundra. The first one is about the environment and people and the second one is about the animals and how global warming is affecting this biome.
1) http://kids.nceas.ucsb.edu/biomes/tundra.html
2) http://sciencing.com/environmental-dangers-tundra-23668.html

Positive Impact of the Neolithic Revolution

I chose this image because it is easy to understand. One positive thing about this revolution is that people had to stop becoming nomadic and start settling down in one area. The only way they were ever going to produce more crops and people would be to stay in one place and let their garden or farms thrive.

This is what I picture when someone says anything about the future of our earth. It shows how we went from a beautiful green and blue planet to a ugly brown one that constantly puts out pollution. I don't think people can really see what is happening to Earth until they see a side by side picture of it from today to 100 years ago. It is going to take a lot of force and people who are willing to work and who care about the planet to make a change. If we don't do something now then we might not be here later to fix it.
