In the article, the author states that being alone can make us "fall apart mentally and even physically". Dantes was alone with himself and began to think and he was at war with himself. When he finally had company from Abbe Faria, he found a little of himself again. In other words, if your social media is not doing well, we think it portrays our personality and it leads us to think that we as a person are not doing well as well.
