The church stresses the importance of having a personal relationship with Jesus and the empowering work of the Holy Spirit in the believers life. It also strives to foster a warm and welcoming environment in which people from all walks of life can praise God, get answers to important questions, and make personal changes for the better. Hobart Assembly operates under the direction of its senior pastor Ryan McDowell – an Assemblies of God minister who is licensed to preach through the Indiana District of the Assemblies of God and ordained through New York District Assemblies of God.
