    • Please allow us to have our own groupings. No offense to my classmates, but I am more comfortable if I am grouped with those I can properly communicate with.

    • Genyo concerns:
    Genyo crashes every single subject as well as quizzes. I also noticed that teachers have this type of problems when they are sharing their screen.

    My parents asked for the breakdown for the payment of AED 2000. However, up until now, they still haven't gotten a response from the registrar and school. I think that the school should be open about these concerns especially now that our families are having financial problems. I fully understand that we are all facing this pandemic, but I just don't understand how it is reasonable to pay AED 2000+ for Genyo and the e-books. Please enlighten us.

    Please make Genyo more appealing to look at. The color combination and arrangement seems a bit childish for us who are in SHS. There are also a lot of spaces that seems wasted, thus looking plain.

    Make it more organized. I suggest you remove the pages as I don't understand what the use of it is. I think it's one of the causes for the lagging. Just post it vertically and we can just keep scrolling down.

    Post the actual powerpoint presentation instead of the file itself. This will help us avoid the need to download the file and just directly view the powerpoint as it is.

    Allow us to view the expired tasks.

A simple refresh just doesn't do the job. I've had experiences that the system goes down while doing tasks, this makes me lose my work and start all over again. There were also instances where we were not able to find our learning packages because they don't show up on our feed, even if the teacher said he/she posted it. Since we use our previous learning packages for lesson we have to go back to our compelted tasks however, going back to completed tasks also became an issue because when I tried to go back to them. Some learning packages were not showing up, even when I switched pages they were no where to be found. I refreshed the page several times but wasn't showing up. Genyo is made for the philippines (even the timezone is for the philippines). What the students want is to bring back google classroom, it is better, faster than genyo, also it is FREE,  while genyo takes time to load and servers are slow as it is in the south east region and we are in the middle east it would be advisable return to google classroom. Genyo is also outdated (probably why the reason it is slow) which would make the 1,800 AED not worth it, it is also a headache for people who struggle with online classes, what if they hardly have a gadget to use for online classes and in addition they have to pay for the 1,800 AED. the slow connection and extra expenses just give the students a headache, while google classroom is always up to date and even an old gadget can run it with a click of a button.     Is Genyo really necessary? Why should we pay a large amount of AED 1800 for a platform if there is a google classroom which is free and proven to be effective last School Year.

    Genyo goes back to the login page after being inactive for a few moments.

    Genyo takes like 5 minutes to load nothing.

    When i try starting a lesson, the website doesn't want to load

    I know supporting local product is good and all, but was the 1.8k really worth it for all of this inconvenience?  Fix the system first, then we can support it.

    Genyo causes a great inconvenience for students trying to access lessons and tests/quizzes because the system is always down. It also wastes a lot of time.

    ACADEMIC CONCERN: Please tell teachers to minimize the usage of breakout rooms. It is very anxiety-inducing especially for neurodivergent students. I noticed that a lot of my classmates don't talk during the breakout room session because they are too shy to share their ideas and to interact with their classmates. And personally, my classmates and I often joke about how we should be the teachers instead of the actual teachers because we mostly do the talking instead of them.

    GENYO CONCERN: Not only is the website slow and crashes often, but it is also very confusing.  It takes so long for me to find the lesson I want. It would be better if they were all divided into folders. The "accomplished task" section is not very effective. This has just made my feed look more disorganized. I would prefer it if we used Google Classroom or even Edmodo.

    I personally do not understand the implementation of Genyo, when there are plenty of FREE and more efficient learning platforms to utilize. First, students and parents are not enlightened about how and why Genyo accounts cost 1,800 AED per student, equaling to around 23,700 PHP. We are currently living in a pandemic, and I find that it is extremely unreasonable for something that can be free to be that expensive. It would be great if we are presented with reasons for Genyo to cost that much money. Second, the website design looks very scattered, outdated, and it does not look pleasing at all. The way the website looks makes it a lot more confusing to use. It feels very unorganized as it looks like there are a lot of unnecessary buttons displayed on its interface. Third, it seems like the website crashes a lot. It takes a while to load simple things and once it does, it fails and crashes once again. Posts are not showing up, links not working, a very slow loading process, logs out our accounts after a few minutes of not being on the tab, lags and freezes are just some of the problems I’ve encountered while using the website. I understand that there are updates and that there are plenty of people in the same server, but for the high price we had to pay, don’t we deserve better service? Fourth, even teachers and staff do not know how to fully use Genyo. There are instances where teachers use another platform to send requirements, announcements, and other tasks to be done because Genyo fails to do so. If that’s the case, then even school authorities know that there are other better alternatives to use for online distance learning. 

    Bottomline is, please make Genyo something to be worthy of the price it holds. It really does not live up to anyone’s expectations, may it be parents, students, and maybe even to some teachers. It genuinely hinders and slows down our learning process. Every second wasted waiting for things to load could’ve been used to do something productive. I believe that every penny we paid should be equal to the service we get. Please hear us out and do something about this issue. Thank you.

    No offence to ANYONE whatsoever but do they really think that google will become paid?? According to what I have read from what google has said regarding their incomes, they get it from the number of people USING any google related software, not because its paid but because of its popularity. 

    Genyo as a website is so ludicrous that its unreasonably unstable, EXPENSIVE, to the point that the money our parents paid doesn't equate to the things we have received, when we used google classroom when online classes were starting, it was efficient and many students actually learned even if it isn't face to face learning. While in Genyo, we legit had to waste our time waiting for Genyo to work for our long tests and had our answers deleted, and the times we have been signed out and had errors for website that costed us grade 11 students 2k dirhams??,  really?? By any means give us students a reason on why we should tolerate this when we use most of our time waiting and stressing about the website that  always crashes and is slow compared to learning.

    I'm not saying this as an insult or attack to anyone, I'm saying this as one of the students who have experienced this errors first hand, if in the future they can fix the website to something efficient at least then that'll be great :>
