Who is involved? Most major automakers are involved in the making and manufacturing of electric and gas-powered cars including major car brands like Ford, Tesla, Honda, and many more. Not only are the car brands involved but the buyers themselves are very important in the supply and demand aspect of keeping the production of electric cars high.

What is the problem? Gas-powered cars may be fun in the way that you can add modifications that could make your car go faster or even look better, but gas-powered cars are affecting the Earth in a negative way by polluting our air and worsening climate change because the cars run on gasoline that burns fossil fuels while you are driving.

What is the effect of gas-powered cars? The effect that gas-powered cars have on our planet is not good because our air is getting polluted heavily and that is causing climate change to worsen and that is causing extreme weather.

Electric cars in the long run are worth the money because you wont need to pay for fuel since you can only charge your electric car, which brings me to my next point, you will be able to charge your car in your own home so you wont have to worry about ever running out of battery if you have it charged whenever you are not driving it.

What is the future of electric cars? By 2032 it is estimated to be more electric powered vehicles rather than gas powered vehicles.

One big downside of buying an electric car is the initial price. Electric cars are usually $12,000 - $20,000 more expensive than gas powered cars. Although an electric car has fewer moving car parts and the maintenance is low, the battery is very expensive and could cost you up $6,000 if you ever need it to be repaired.

What is the future? The future of this could lead to buyers rethinking buying them or going to the cheaper alternative which would be gas powered cars, and that could increase the air pollution in the long run.

4 Major Timeline points
1. William Morrison created the first 100% electric car
2. The first electric car was introduced around 1890
3. The top speed of the first electric car was 14 MPH
4. The first gas powered car was made in 1892

What Caused Electric Cars To Be Made?
Electric cars were made to better the environment and to clean the pollution in our air which would also help to better climate change, and that would help lessen extreme whether like hurricanes.

Why would the stop of using gas powered cars be useful? Gas Powered cars have caused air pollution to increase since it runs on a fossil fuel that burns the gas into our air, and that hurts our environment by worsening climate change.

Who do I think needs to get involved? I think the government needs to get involved to put a federal policy to increase the manufacturing of electric cars and decrease the manufacturing of gas-powered cars.

What do I want the future of cars to be? I want the future of cars to be mainly electric, although I love gas-powered/manual transmission cars I know that electric cars would be the best thing for our environment and for the buyer as well to have cleaner air.

Where do I think the best place to start would be?
I think it is better to start selling electric cars in countries that have a large population and countries that are heavily polluted like Asia.

Why is this topic significant? This topic is very good to know about in my opinion because climate change and air pollution are damaging our planet and us switching to electric cars instead of gas-powered cars can help clean our air since we won't be burning fossil fuels that are bad for us.
