         <description><![CDATA[<p>This was the intercepted telegram that kicked off the United States Involvement in WW1. It was essentially a message from  German Foreign Secretary Arthur Zimmermann that was intended for Germany's ambassador to Mexico. Essentially while the United States was already on the way to becoming a major world power this truly propelled their involvement for years to come.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In this speech President Wilson essentially pointed out the causes for the worldwide conflict (and called for an end to treaties). At a later date these points were used in the peace treaty process at the end of the war. Like previously stated this speech was used mostly to write treaties which proved faulty as the cause for the next World War.</p>]]></description>
