I am a teacher of physics, ICT and maths. I graduated Silesian University in Katowice and got Master degree in Physics. My master thesis was on quantum logic. Ca 15 years ago I finished my postgraduate studies in ICT and 5 years later maths postgraduate studies in Jagiellonian Universuty in Cracow. I learn all the time, because I have great interest in science and it is developing so fast nowadays that it is not possible to stop follow if you like to be in touch. Besides I like it much. And I would like to share my interests with my students.
Below is one small example of one of my many interests.
My picture of todays huge sunspot, made with my students.
Updated 16 June 2016

My school is a lower-secondary school where students are in the age of 11 - 16. There are circa 250 students in my school and 20 teachers. In one class there attend 118 students in average. We use in our work many ICT tools, for example e-daily lesson with all teaching documentation, e-learning platform: Moodle and so on. We have 3 multimedia boards in the classrooms, one classroom with 10 compters. There is a cable net and wifi in all the school. I have also 2 hours estra classes in the school astronomy club, which has got a small newtonian telescope.

I have never used PBL. I think it's: 1) dificult, 2) students should be in some way prepared to this method, 3) school stuff (management) should support teacher who wants to teach this way.
These are the first reflections, but it's quite sure that there are more problems.
I might summarize my first impression graphically:

May be for the first time for my students it would be good to choose some problem concerning energy: how to take advantages of existing waterfalls on our local small river to produce elektricity?
