The Man who was a Priest's Heart

In 1929 Lynchburg, Virginia, young Desmond Doss nearly killed his brother while roughhousing. That event and his Seventh-day Adventist upbringing reinforce Desmond's belief in the commandment "Thou shalt not kill". Years later, he takes an injured man to the hospital and meets a nurse, Dorothy Schutte. They strike a romance, and Desmond tells her of his interest in medical work. And she agrees, Soon months later after the attack on Pearl Habour On December 7^th 1941 The United States enters WW2. Bringing Thousands of young men in to the war.

Amoung them is our main protagonist young Desmond Doss, he unlike other men wanted to become a combat medic in the army. He trained in the 77th Infantry Division.

At first He succeded in Physical Traning but after, they

were told to shoot dummies with real firearms, but Desmond did not accept this order. So his friends and officers bullied him and due to being a fool he was thrown into jail for a month. Meanwhile his dad a verteran of WW1 came to free his son from jail. After he was allowed to marry Dorathy the woman she met at the hospital.

Despite countless temptations, he recived training of being a combat medic then he was allowed to participate The Battle of Okinawa in the island hopping campaign a plot to attack the main islands of Japan.

Then the team was ordered to climb the ropes to the cliff known as '' Hacksaw Ridge'' to the Americans. The Japanese lead an ambush on them engulfing all sides of them, Desmond rushed to one soilder at a time to help them. Soon the general ordered his men to retreat leaving behind the captain and the wounded men to die. Desmond, who was up there saved as many men as he could by lowering them down the rope, after saving a soilder he prayed as'' God let me save one more'' after saving at least 100 men he and the captian the pair escaped the cliff and he saw the men who he saved all night. He felt proud of himself. Then on saturday he and his men bravely climbed the cliff and at first sight eliminated every Japanese men at their turf. Just then as they were ready to surrender, two men threw greneads and Desmond managed to hit it to another direction but the other one hit him and tore him apart the men rushed to help him and he was safely lowered down the cliff and he was given treatment. But the Americans won the battle and 5 months later WW2 ended.

In honour of his services Desmond Doss was given the '' Medal Of Honour'' By then President ' Harry. S. Truman'.
