Holidays in my culture are not very big deal, but my family and I will acknowledge them, and at least try to keep up. For example, ramadan it starts in the 9th islamic month on the islamic calendar. The food that my family usually makes by scratch contains ALOT of oil and/or sodium. As a result, of eating for a good decade and a half it has reflected on my health. I was not born in america, but I was raised here. Being raised here I wasn't learning my native language. Growing up i learned English and it had became my first language which sets up an obstacle between me and my family. They are not technically my cats, but it's okay; I'm usually the one who who takes care of them. I love my pets despite how annoying or how much hard work they put me through.

A hajj is an Islamic pilgrimage that one must do at least once in his/her lifetime.
