He relates back to the expressive wood block prints of the German expressionist era in the 1920s but with a modern take. He stamps the print a total of three times creating a sense of motion for the screaming figure. It is one of the most powerful feelings seen in human beings. This strong emotion can be expressed in a plethora of ways and artists have visualized this feeling for generations. In this exhibition you will see the many faces of sorrow through paintings, sculpture, and ink prints. All these pieces work cohesively together to truly show an image of the expressive nature of this sinking feeling. From human figures to distorted arrays of ink the idea of sorrow is one that we can all connect too.
