         <description><![CDATA[<div>Frequent loss of power supply mostly leads many residents in Nigeria to forget switching off appliances that were previously connected to electricity when the power was present. The problem is that when the electric power is re-established, the appliances that were forgotten on the electric socket regains operation. The electric cooker, iron and kettle will start to get hot as air conditioners, refrigerators, radios and televisions resume their operation. The possible result is fire disaster in the homes and offices especially if the electric power was restored during the hours of work - between 8.00 AM and 4.00 PM . Apart from the danger of fire, the electronics which suffer such frequent power failures most of the time are more likely to breakdown more often than not and of course lead to a great waste of electricity.</div>]]></description>
