<title>1. It is important to focus on the purpose rather than the reason for a decision because this focus will determine the outcome of the decision. The reason may relate to the elements of the purpose without actually addressing the purpose at all. This is much the same as addressing component skills of a standard rather than developing the thinking required to independently apply the standard in diverse situations. A particular problem prescriptive may be applied but using the skill independently will not be developed. The purpose will be lost. 2. The best students expect teachers to address misbehavior rather than allow the behavior to continue. They expect teachers to do this with respectful consideration to all students. The uncooperative student a well as the cooperative students </title>

Students expect to be in a safe and learning environment. They come to school to ready to learn and want the teacher to do her job in teaching and making sure their little world is safe.</title>

We must think about and adjust when things don't quite go as planned. <title>Plans don&#39;t always work out. If you remain focused on the purpose, then you can still manage to accomplish the objective. Great teachers are constantly having to alter and rearrange their teaching in order to meet the needs of students and objectives. The best students expect teachers not to make them pay for the misconduct of another. they also expect the teacher to remain in control of the situation and not allow ourselves to be pulled into the behavior.</title>

<title>Great teachers have a plan and purpose for everything they do, but if things don&#39;t work out that way, they adjust and carry on. They accept responsibility, and everyone knows the teacher is in charge! Great teachers influence the whole school. They know what the purpose is, and how to accomplish that purpose. </title>
