The article explains how effective and positive "Sesame Street" is to younger kids. This show began to air in the 1960s and continued to expand. Specifically, black, non-Hispanic children experienced the most benefits, children to grow smarter, stronger and kinder. This show was inexpensive, so it reached more people and educated them with positive lessons.

Overall our groups article was about sesame street can help prepare for children's future problems and provides good education for children. Yet, the show provides more emotional education for a child and the researchers believe that pre school should still be enforced to teach the more logical education such as spelling, etc. , children can not just learn from a TV show. Yet, the show does help kids emotional skills by learning lessons and more.

sesame street debuts Ji-Young, first Asian American muppet - the lesson of introducing Ji-Young stems from the national hate Asians have been experiencing since the covid pandemic. the point of introducing Ju-Young was to familiarize young children with kids of Asian American decent and just kids of other races. this article focused on the social aspect of meeting kids that don't look like themself and may be culturally different. teaching the children that it's ok when people are different and it's not ok to be mean to them because of differences. as kids enter into school this is possibly the first time that they've been introduced to so many kids their own age. before school they might have been boxed in by people who are like them from the same neighborhood or family. they now get to meet a bunch of different kids with differing backgrounds and sesame already bringing up this idea with them makes it less of a new situation.

https://youtu.be/rxwwLV5DivU
Lessons From the Episode:
1) Anyone can blow a bubble. The video showed all of the Sesame Street characters trying to blow bubbles and it made it clear that anyone has the capability of blowing a bubble. This idea can be expanded into a broader sense to help viewers and children understand that anyone is capable of anything.
2) This video promoted problem solving and trying again. When one of the Sesame Street characters couldn't blow a bubble, he kept on trying different ways of blowing bubbles in order to master the skill. Furthermore, Abby and Elmo tried again when they did not guess the correct bubble recipe.
3) The episode also promoted curiosity about the world around you. Children outside of Sesame Street experimented with bubbles and discovered how they pop and how different surfaces affect bubbles. This promotes curiosity about everything one sees around them. This promoted the intellectual aspect of PIESM.
