Fascism- a political system based on a dictatorial leader. It focuses on having total control of the people, and often being proud of country and race.
Lebensraum- a German word meaning 'living space'. In the context of WWII, it relates to the Nazi's desire to expand into other countries and provide space for the growing German population.
Kokoda- The Kokoda trail is a 96km stretch of dense jungle in Papua New Guinea. In 1942  the Japanese forces landed on the coast of Papua, and tried to make their way along the Kokoda track to capture Port Moresby and therefore Papua. The campaign was a series of battles fought between the Japanese and Australian troops, and in the end the Australian's were successful and forced Japan to retreat. The great depression was a worldwide economic depression, that took place mostly during the 1930’s. The depression was caused by a number of  weaknesses in the economy. America's Great Depression began with the crash of the stock market on Black Thursday, October 24, 1929 when 16 million shares of stock were quickly sold by  investors who had lost faith in the American economy. 

WHen the stockmarket crashed in America it effected germany because of ww1. the Germans voted in hitler becuse they have no jobs and wanted change.
