Day 1
My name is nurul auni binti ramli shariff and I am second year student of University Malaysian Kelantan. I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in entrepreneurship (health entrepreneurship). During this fourth semester break, I was required to do industry training to meet credit hours. So I started looking for a place to get ready for the semester break. Traveling to find a place to stay is challenging because most places do not accept temporary workers and only hire permanent workers. However, I did not give up trying to find a place to go. Thankfully, it was my patience to find a place to earn a living when I was hired to work at a car repair shop, named Ahmad Zaidi bin Abdul Ghani and a job offer to me as a clerk. On my first day of work, I began to get acquainted with employers and workers. I am asked by my employer to adapt to the conditions and environment of the workplace. I also took the opportunity to ask a few questions about work and to note all the important points of my work so that I would not overlook it.

Day 2

On the second day, I was required to calculate the total number of items sold. I have been given a log book in and out of stock and I need to calculate the amount sold. After that, I have to give the employer a report on the stock. In the report, I need to state the number of stocks before sale, the number of stocks that have been sold and the stocks that need to be increased. Among the items sold at Ahmad Zaidi bin Abdul Ghani's auto shop are accessories such as bicycles, motorcycles, cars. In addition, other items are vehicle-shaped stickers, colourful paints, screws, vehicle oils and more.

Day 3

On the third day, I was required to record the number of vehicles that needed repair. First, the mechanic will identify the type of damage that needs to be repaired. Second, the mechanic will recommend to the customer to change anything necessary to repair the damage. For example, if the mechanic finds a leak on the vehicle's tire, the mechanic will recommend to the customer to copy the tire with the new one. Third, the customer will be brought by the mechanic to the vehicle accessories section and the customer will make the choice of tire that will be replaced based on the price and brand of the tire while assisted by the mechanic. Once the mechanic has finished repairing the vehicle, it will notify the vehicle's plate, the type of damage, and the spare parts used. All of that needs to be recorded by me in the vehicle logbook.

Day 4

On the fourth day, I was asked to manage the sales counter. The day was a bit of a challenge as I had to handle the counters serving the customers. Customers will come and pay at the counter when they are done with their business. Some customers come to pay the total cost of repairing the vehicle and some customers pay for the purchase of the goods. From here I learned about customer service ethics where I needed to keep smiling and always improve my patience even though the expectations were very challenging. This is a major concern for my employer because my employer wants us to always put our customers first, no matter the circumstances.

Day 5

On the fifth day, I was required to manage Ahmad Zaidi bin Abdul Ghani's store account. I was asked to make an estimate of the amount of sales that went into that day so I had to go home a bit late as the count could only be made when the store was closed. I need to calculate the total amount of money that day, the amount of money that came out, the amount of money that came in and also have to state whether that day was a loss or profit and to state the amount of loss or profit.

Day 6

On the sixth day, to reveal more to me and to better understand the intricacies of this business, I was asked by my employer to follow up with the sale of goods at the supplier's store. First of all, I was asked to get a list of items to buy in order to add stock to the store. Exposure by employers can help me to better understand and better understand our suppliers and business partners. Hi, this gives me a bit of an edge and a step forward and can make connections in this business and most importantly help me get the experience that I will use in the real world.

Day 7

On the seventh day, I was asked by my employer to help my customers make the choices they needed. I was really excited when my customers received the opinion I had on the store. In my opinion, some customers will ask our opinion first before making a choice and most will ask for our opinion. However, for the usual customers they usually come to the store and continue buying.

Day 8

On the eighth day, I was asked to check the store account at the end of the business that day. So as always, I'll wait until the store closes so it's easy to close the account that day. When I calculated all the parts of the financial crisis I could conclude that on that day the business was earning a lot more than it used to. This is because many customers come to repair their vehicles.

Day 9

On the ninth day, my wife asked me to take care of the payment counter. During the day the shop situation was relatively unlucky due to the lack of customers coming in for items such as vehicle accessories, lubricants, screws and more. Also, there are fewer customers coming to repair their vehicles. Therefore, the benefits of the day were relatively small.

Day 10

On the tenth day was my last day to work there. I continue to work as usual until the store closes. After the shop closed, the employer called me and offered me a paycheck even though the employer had told me that I should not be paid but the employer used his discretion and he regarded the award as a reward to me. He also gave me the advice to be diligent in doing everything and to always show interest in whatever field I would pursue. Many thanks to him for giving me the golden opportunity to work in his shop and teaching me about the basics of auto repair business.
