Running For My Life is a life story about an Olympic distance runner named Lopez Lomong. He was born and lived in South Sudan, which is located in North Africa. At the age of 6 he was taken from his family by soldiers at an outdoor church session. He was among many children who were taken.. After a few nights of being held captive in a small room, he escaped with 3 other kids. Once they escaped, they ran for their lives for 3 days. They were then found and put into a refugee camp. He spent many years here. Later in his life at the refugee camp, he got adopted. After getting adopted, he moved to America and instantly found a love and passion for running. This Olympic track star has an incredible story that everyone will enjoy. If you truly want to experience this book, you have to read it!

If I were to rate this book, it would definitely finish in 1st place! (5 out of 5 stars!) This book was a great story that had a lot of detail! This book was extremely enjoyable to read! Anyone who loves running or other sports will enjoy reading this book.

I'm not very far into the book but the book I'm reading is titled Paper Hearts. Paper Hearts is about a young girl named Zlatka who is sent to the concentration camp Auschwitz with her sister Fania. It's there first day there and they are cold, hungry, and tired. There's not enough room in the bunk beds and  they haven't ate in days. Zlatka promised her mom that she would take care of her sister, but Fania is to young to understand what is happening and it's hard to take care of her.

So far I give this book a 9/10 and I''m going to continue reading.

My book is about a girl named Ha.  Ha and her family live in Saigon where the Vietnam War was about to hit.  It was no longer safe to live in Saigon, so they had to take a ship to America.  Once they got there, they had to get a sponsor.  A "cowboy" chose them.  He let them live in his basement for a few weeks.  Meanwhile, Ha was going to school and learning English.  Ha's mother and brothers were working.  The father was lost in action a few years ago.  They don't know if he is alive or dead.  At school, Ha was getting bullied.  Later on she met two students named Pam and Steven.  Pam, Steven, and her brothers, helped her to not get bullied.  Meanwhile, Mother lost her wedding ring and thought it was a sign her husband was dead.  They then have a little ceremony for him.
I would rate this book a 10/10.  I would rate this book a 10/10 because it had some humor.  It was not boring.  I also rated this book a 10/10 because it had a lot of detail.  It had little details that made it interesting.

Sisters Is about these two sister that do not get along very well. They are having a family reunion. They were having their gathering in California, and Raina's family lived in Colorado. Raina and her sister were driving to California with her mom and her young brother. Her dad was flying because "of work". The sisters annoy each other all day. The ride to  California was going to take them 2 full weeks. Each sibling got their own roll in the car because her mom has a conversion van. Raina listen to her music while her sister was annoying her because she was bored the whole 2 weeks. When they got to their family's house Raina was happy to see her cousin. Raina and her cousin used to be good friends when they were younger. Now her cousin says she does not remember all of the things they did together. That made Raina mad, so she went outside and saw her sister sitting on the front porch. Raina's sister does not really have any friends either because they were either way younger or way older than her. They after the reuion was over they were happy to go home. On their trip back their van broke down.  Raina's family was about 2 hours past the city, and in the middle of no where. Finally some guy pulled over and Raina's mom and little brother got in his truck and went to find a car repair shop. Raina an her sister were in the broken down car for almost three hours, and finally saw her mom pulling up behind her. They fixed the car and started to head home. 

I would rate the book 4 out of 5 stars because it was not my type of book , but if you like drama you will definitely enjoy this book! I would rate Fragments of the Lost  4 out of 5 stars. It didn't leave me starstruck but I did enjoy reading it! It had some fantastic cliffhangers and it was a great mystery. Fans of One of us is Lying, Paper Towns, and NEED would enjoy this book.

Summary (So far):
The main characters of this book are Massie, Claire, Dylan, Kristen, and Alicia. They all belong to the group called The Pretty Comity. Claire was excepted last into the pretty comity because she has moved into one of the houses in their neighbor later. So not all the others in the comity don't like her as much as they should. In this book, the beginning talks about Massie and the pretty comity walking to school. A few of them get covered in pigeon poop and have to change clothes when they get into the school. I'm not going to spoil to much about it but Dylan ends up getting a detention for a crazy reason! To find out what happens you should really read the book!

It I had to rate the book, I'd rate it 5 stars or 10/10! Not only is it just one book, there is an entire series! So far I have read about 3 books and I'm reading my 4th one. I just finished this book and loved it so much. It was one of the most inspiring stories I've ever read, and it really made me think about what people go through. It is about a young girl who is put in Auschwitz along with her sister and her parents when she is only 16 years old. Her parents are immediately killed, and she is forced to live through terrible circumstances with her sister Magda in order to survive. She made it to Liberation Day in 1945, and continued to write her first book (this one) about her experiences and how she went on to be a therapist for people who have experienced trauma. If you enjoy books like this, you will truly love hearing about her life. What I have read so far: 2 teens named Dennis and Arnie are driving home when they past a old house and car for sale. Arnie begs Dennis to drive back to the house and then they head to the house. Dennis begs Arnie to not buy the old car, named Christine, but Arnie still buys it. When Arnie comes home he gets into a argument with his parents about the car. 
The next day, Arnie and Dennis head to a repair shop to get the car fixed, but before Arnie gets the car into the repair shop, the car blows a tire and Arnie parks it near the driveway. A woman argues with Dennis to get the car off her driveway and Dennis gets a new tire. When Dennis comes back, Arnie is now arguing with the husband of the woman and they convince the husband to let them have 5 mins to retread the tire, the husband agrees. They finally made it to the repair shop, and then they get kicked out of the shop because Arnie car was making a ton of smoke. Dennis drove Arnie back to Arnie's house and then his house. I am reading this book for a second time and plan on reading the series for the first time. 
Jonas (the main character) lives his life in Sameness, and doesn't know about colors or pain. When he is selected (everyone else was assigned something) has the Receiver of Memory he is surprised and scared. The rest of the book is about his training. 
The book is The Giver because the old Receiver of Memory renames himself as the Giver, since Jonas is now called the Receiver of Memory.
I left out a lot in this explanation so if you want to find out more read the book!

Secrets of the Nightingale Woods is about a girl named Henrietta (they call her Hen or Henry) and she lives in a house called Hope House. Why her father is off on a business trip she and her family are at home. Hen's mom is very sick and her baby sister is keep away from her mom and so is Hen. Henry  soon find a mystery door in her moms room. 

This book is a Mystery and it is one of my favorite books.
