Kyrgyzstan

"Ayaz Ata (Grandfather Frost) will come at midnight on New Year's Eve and put presents under the New Year tree. When the clock strikes midnight, families light fireworks to celebrate. The cities become as bright as day."
-I like this because it's Ayaz Ata, not always Santa Claus and the whole country will light fireworks!

Ghana

"Christmas here includes the whole family. Adults dress up in costumes and give candy and sweets to the neighborhood. Children decorate their homes with paper ornaments and drawings they made."
-As normal Christmas, they'll do everything at home but this country have adult dress up in costume and come to their neighbor houses-but not to "trick or treat", to give away candies- and children decorates the house themselves!

The United States:
Every year at the time of Christmas, people will hang stockings on Christmas Eve. A legend named "St Nicholas", heard a family in need, then he gave gold for them by going down their chimney into the house. Since that story, St Nicholas now is Santa Claus.

France:
All the children often put their shoes out next to the fireplace and wish for Père Noël to come. If they were good all the year, Père Noël will fill all of their shoes with gifts.

I really like the culture in Kyrgyzstan. It was Grandpa Frost who arrived at midnight on New Year's Eve and left presents under the tree. At midnight, people set off firecrackers like daytime. I like this culture very much because: it is very exciting when the whole country fires fireworks, the family gathers under the lights. Then the whole family opened meaningful gifts together, the feeling at that time could not be described by words!

German Christmas Tradition:
In nearly every German town, Christmas markets open in town squares. Townspeople gather to hear brass bands, and enjoy traditional fare of the region. They eat gingerbread hearts, sugar-roasted almonds, sweets of all kinds, and drink mulled wine or apple cider.
This tradition isn't too different with others traditions in the World but it's interesting. My favorite part is eating gingerbread hearts and other sweets because I like to celebrate Christmas by enjoying tasty food.

I found many cool traditions around the world.

There is a unique tradition in New Zealand and Australia, their Christmas is in summer so families go to beaches and gather around barbecues, they eat their favourite dessert called pavlova, they celebrate Christmas like a hot summer event.

About how France people celebrate Christmas, instead of putting their wishes, letters to Santa into Christmas stockings, they put their shoes next to the fireplace and wait for Père Noël to come. Père Noël is the same with Santa, if the kids were nice, he'll put full of gifts in the shoes.

Those are 2 nice traditions I've found.

In the United Kingdom, merrymakers of all ages enjoy Christmas crackers on the table at dinner. Crackers are tubes wrapped in colorful paper, with pull tabs on each end. When you pull the tabs, the tube bursts with a loud snap! Inside are paper hats, toys, jokes and prizes to enjoy during Christmas night.

I like Canada holiday traditions best because after a christmas eve meal, we will put some cookies and carrots in the dish with a glass of milk by the place for santa. I don't think that santa and his reindeers will eat but anyway, it is a interesting activity. children in canada usually celebrate a snowy, white Christmas and that sound good. I love to celebrate my house with many white snowflakes too.

In Australia, people celebrate in December, but the weather is hot like in summer so they called "Summer time in December". The way the Australian celebrate is very different, too. People here celebrate by have fun and dancing. They also have a hat called Puritina, eat tamales, light firecrackers at midnight and dance in the night with various styles of dancing. But at the beginning of the party, all family will have a special dinner. And also, they will have a "Christmas hug" at midnight before the family blows whistles and sets off firecrackers. I like this way of Guatemalans celebrate because they have a "Christmas hug", also the tamales with Guatemalan style although the organization is normal, this country may not be known to many people, including me until now.

Argentina
I really like Christmas in Argentina because here I can play with snow like: Making snowman, throwing snow at each other, skiing. In the evening, they gathered together to eat biscuits and drink milk. They sat by the fire and told each other good stories. And usually people celebrate Christmas when the snow has covered the city, covered the face. I really want to touch the snow but there is no snow in my country so I hope one day I can go to Canada.
