Development:

- Children are placed in a circle.

- Instrumental background music from different cultures is heard.

- The teacher shows them images of children from other countries and says: "This girl's name is Mei and she lives in China. How do you think he greets?" Then everyone imitates the greeting.

- Repeat the dynamic with 3 or 4 different countries.

-A short song is sung: "Hello, hello, we are all going to say hello, each one in his own way, how nice it is to respect!"

Purpose:

- Introduce the issue of cultural diversity in an experiential and fun way.

- Develop empathy and respect for others.

Materials: human body silhouettes on cardboard, crayons, mirrors, magazines, scissors, glue, colored fabric.

Development:

1. Each child looks at himself in a mirror and talks to the teacher about what he/she is like: hair color, eyes, clothes, tastes.

2. Then he receives a silhouette to decorate it as he/sees himself/herself. You can use crayons or clippings (clothes, hairstyles, food, colors, etc.).

3. The teacher guides them to make a "Diversity Gallery" by sticking the silhouettes on a wall or mural.

4. We talk in groups:

-What do they have in common?

-How are they different?

- How do you feel when you see so many ways of being?
