<3 the popularity for their dresses soared and saw even fast fashion brands like PLT copy their prints/designs
<3 if kylie Jenner who wears Chanel, Gucci, Dior etc... very expensive and well respected designer brands, can wear these pieces, then they definitely have the potentiality of making it as a high fashion/brand.

PRIMARY RESEARCH- POLLS /INTERVIEW SUMMARY.

<3 Our poll in particular, showed us that 90% of people feel that black owned brands are underrepresented and only 15% could confidently name 10 black owned brands (alternatively, 91% of people could in general name luxury brands) - these figures arguably show us that due to the underrepresentation, it is hard for people to confidently identify a number of black owned brands (which we think is a problem, as fashion should be for everyone)- as a result, these figures supports my projects concept that there is definitely a gap in the market for black owned brands to elevate- particularly in luxury fashion market as again in our poll 100% of people agreed that there is room for them, there- 100% of people agreeing with the question, also accentuates the support, people can have for black owned brands, which was further supported in my interview, where a consumer agreed that despite not being in general able, to afford luxury brands, if it was in aid to support a good cause (and incentives are included e.g. student discounts), they would happily spend a bit more money.

The learning style reflection assessment, I believe was accurate- it showed that I am someone who enjoys learning new things and also does not mind adpating my own techniques, from my environment i.e. other peoples methods, in order to improve my own technique. It also suggested that I am quietly creative- meaning that I enjoy quietly taking time to pthink and create new things- it makes learning alot more fun and also a unique experience for me. In addition, the assessment, also highlighted that I am enthusiastic and willing to learn- which is like me, especially if its in a field that is very enjoyable to me.

ONLINE INTERVIEW, REFLECTION.

The online interview, was quite nerve wracking as I haven’t been interviewed in a long time. It was quite difficult to think of responses, quickly and also responses that were of good quality. A few of the questions e.g. “three words your best friend, would use to describe you”- were particularly difficult, as it is hard to think quickly of positive things to say about yourself. I also felt for a few of the questions, I used a lot of filler words and also in general, “over saying” one point, as I kept overthinking my answers and was trying to put across what, exactly I was trying to say; I would say as a result of this is why my confidence in the interview was marked very low. Nevertheless, as I got through question, by question, I felt a bit more relaxed as I had gotten over the the initial panic/stress. I think in a real interview, having prepared more would put me in a better position, but the practise to sort of gain a sense of interview atmosphere, was good practise and although a little stressful, I enjoyed it overall, in terms of experience.

MID YEAR PULSE SUMMARY

My mid year career pulse (61%) has increase since my beginning of year career pulse (57%), which is the first positive. In the first pulse the areas it recommended that I should improve on were “Interviews & Follow ups”, “Being Work Ready” and “CV’s and Applying for Jobs” where as my mid year career pulse recommended that I improve on “Interviews & Follow ups”, “Industry Skills” and “Being Work Ready”. It seems that in terms of CV’s and applying for jobs in general, I’ve gained confidence in what content to put when applying to jobs- I believe this is down to our CV workshop with Theresa and Dean and also currently, as the course is coming to an end, searching for jobs. However it seems that interviews, post interviews and getting ready for the “working” world in general, is a work in progress, which I agree with, as it is a new field, different to anything I have worked in previously, therefore my confidence at the moment is not as strong. Nevertheless, I believe towards the end of the year with our work experience opportunity and continuing application/stages to getting a job, I will increase in confidence in these areas.
