For those of you who use Seesaw, there is a great footprint activity for students to fill in and sign on the activities page that can be shared with your students. Students can digitally edit the page, add their name and post it to their digital journal. https://app.seesaw.me/#/activities/library/prompt/prompt.62bef657-0dff-4494-b82f-c76c5b9e83f9?search&grade_level=4&query=digital%20citizen&userPromptId=prompt.0b17f484-cae8-42b7-99e4-95b431e461d1

Each grade level has their own Advisory Course in Canvas. We created a digital citizenship module in each course beginning with basics of safe surfing, etc. for freshmen to building a digital footprint that completes a high school resume for seniors. We have their submissions from assignments (some are just their names, some have them repeat a pledge) as records of their completion and some understanding.

All grade levels, through their Social Studies classes, completed the digital citizenship model learning about their digital footprints. Students also learned that October is considered both Cyber Security and Digital Citizenship month. Our students became more digitally aware of how their access is tracked and they signed a pledge to become good digital citizens by being Cyber Savvy!
