Our group do agree with Translator Translator as a Mediator and Translator as a Preserver since translator is the one in the middle to transfer between one culture to another cultures by translating. Besides, translator is also preserver, as many time, the original work may be lost to time, and their translated work are the only only copy left, or if the original work are write in forgotten language, translated work(to more comprehensible language) may be a historian treasure trove."

However, we have different points of view about a Translator as a Mentor. Because a translator is not only an addresser who translates what he/she wants to convey but also conveys that culture. For example, the Foreign tourists who do not know the culture and traditions of the country to visit, but when someone translates to be a medium and to help teach the different cultures of that country, it makes them understand the people of that country better.

Atitaya Meunchana 6201020021
Phorntip Rakniran 6201020069
Peeranut Prommasith 6201020229
Satinee Phumsalai 6201020243
Kanmanee Saenkham 6201020274

We agree with the term of Translator as a Mediator because the translator is not only the one who transfer the meaning of the language from source language to target language but the translator need to know about both culture very well and be able to make the reader understand about the source culture as well.
As the text said Translator as a Mentor, we agree with it. Because a readers have seen and perceived the translation culture from what was translated. Although the translator does not teach the reader one-on-one. However, the reader was learned from what he has read or studied from the thing that was translated. Moreover, some people might adapt another work and apply it into themselves which means that the translator can automatically being a mentor.
We agree with a text that said, Translator as a Preserve r. To be a translator does not mean that we only transmit the language but we also keep the tradition for the next generation.

Kamonrat 6201020052
Kamolrat 6201020359
Tinnabhat 6201020328
Mongkut 6201020267
Natthakan 6201020120

We agree with the term of Translator as as a Mediator because translators have a role as a medium of communication between the two cultures to understand and access the values of both society and culture.
We also agree with the term of Translation as a Preserver. Translation allows readers to understand the culture of another language. We can learn society through the language they use. Language and society are inseparable. Translators are responsible for passing the culture on to future generations. Therefore, translators must continue to protect and preserve our language culture.
On the other hand, we disagree with the term of Translator as a Mentor. In our point of view, we think translators can be mentor but keep in mind that translators are not the expert who knows everything. If you want to know or understand something, it would be better to ask the experts and sometimes the translators also still need the expert to correct the information.

Duangkramon Amphawan 6201020281
Aiyarat Kantha 6201020366
Wilaipohn Laoyang 6201020441
Suwimon Phimolsatharporn 6201020434
