Running away. I don’t have many options, but finally I see a perfect spot. No one will find me here.

Silhouettes of trees everywhere. 

“Ready or not here I come!” I hear in the distance.

I see tiny specks of white in the corner of my eye. 
"Oh no, they're getting closer and closer…"I whisper to myself.
 

“I found you!” someone says to another player.

Oh no I think to myself, the voice keeps gets louder and louder. 
“Ahh!” 
The light gets brighter and brighter. 

“I found you!” they shout.

A bright light flash flashes straight in my face.

“You're covered in mud!”

It's all on, me vs all I've got to somehow get through everyone. I'm now the prey everyone is targeting me, I look around for gaps to run through but they all decide to build a wall.

 I make a split second decision to run around the sideline but an army of people are chasing me. I weave through a few people and fend off another, I can view the finish line but I have one man to beat I predict it will be a tough encounter. I know he's faster than me so I just run it straight he tries to tackle me he grips on with one bare hand but I keep striding for the try line. Eventually I feel his grip come loose. 

There it is I thought, the try line. Glory was mine, I finally made it.

I ran out in front of the Carnivores and when they spotted me, I turned around and ran towards the Elements. The Elements saw us coming their way and charged towards us, but I dodged out of the way and tiptoed away from the chaos, quiet as a mouse, stealthily sneaking away. I hoped nobody would notice me.

 

Behind me, a firey battle raged. Some of the Carnivores were caught but others realised what was happening and ran away. Then one of the Elements spotted me and ran in my direction.

 

I ran faster, but the Element was gaining. I suddenly turned down some steps and the momentum carried the Element on. Then a Herbivore appeared. Forgetting their pursuit, the hungry Element greedily charged at the Herbivore while I scrambled away to safety. I was tired and sweating. Panting like a dog, I tore open my bag and drank some refreshing water. Then it was time to get back into action.

“Away! I have a gun you know!” I say peering into the darkness

“So do I!” The voice says . They fire , I take the bullet .That’s what counts ,as long as they don’t hit the poll green team will win .

“Ha !” They say in triumph . I try to shoot at them and remember the gun will be disabled for another four seconds . Long enough for them to hit the poll . Without hesitation they fire .One point is taken. Lucky for me I regain my shields and gun power as soon as they strike. I start firing in their direction , I let out a sigh of relief as I hear them run away.

I quickly run into the bathroom looking for a place to hide. I hide underneath the sink and wait there hoping not to get found. Pesi throws open the bathroom door. I hold my breath and my palms become sweaty. He leaves the room still looking back, I can breath again. I rush out the bathroom sneaking quietly into his bedroom leaving no trail. I scan the room looking for any hiding places.Suddenly I hear footsteps getting louder and faster. I open the window it makes a bit of a creaking noise, I jump out of the window onto the deck. I pear around the corner looking if Pesi was there. I see no sign of him so I enter another bedroom from the deck then rush down stairs. 

“RAHH!” 

I jump. I start running to the door then when I turn around I see Moses.

“ I thought you were Pesi!” I shouted.

“ I know” he says smiling.

I had a feeling that Pesi could hear us so I crept behind the couch and Moses tagged along. 

“ I know where Miguel is hiding” he whispered.

“ Okay.” I whisper back.

I watch Pesi walked down with Elizabeth looking everywhere from under the couch.I see Elizabeth and Pesi smiling and they start walking toward us trying not to look like they’ve found us. They start running and I jump over the couch running back upstairs leaving Moses behind. They don’t see him they start chasing after me. I rush onto the deck, I see Pesi on the other side I turn to head back then my sister Elizabeth tagged me.

10,9,8…..She starts to count I have to find the best place to hide, this seeker cheats, I run to the nearest room looking for a cupboard or something ,nothing, on to the next room “come on evie find a cupboard or something even better like some draws under a bed!!” Yes I get into one and push it under the bed awaiting my fate.

 

I hear the seeker coming down the stairs to the room the tension is so thick you could cut with knife, I stop breathing for a few seconds, my breathing is really loud when i'm scared. She looks in the cupboard, and tries a few tricks to make me give up my spot like turning, hesitate walk a few steps and turn around super fast or call out really loud “hey i found you you can come out now”. Nothing works she's convinced i'm not there she swivels around and runs to another room, I’m safe I win “let's have another game!!!”

I’m crouching in the swallowing darkness. I’ve been shot. I look around, a target is to my right. Once I regained my strength I hurtled towards the target. I aimed at the target, and with one shot and one burst of light, the target had been hit.

 

At this point of the game I am confident. I run through the maze shooting everyone in sight. Everyone yelling in dismay as their light flickers out. I have eventually hit all the targets but one. The green target. I'm hide in the corner waiting to run, but a green player is running down the ramp. Getting closer, and closer. I think quick. I aim at the player through the window and with a burst of light, The beam reflects off the window and hits the green player, right In the chest. 

 

As I sprint, excitement and adrenaline flood my body as I’m just so close to the last target…. Suddenly a green player stands before me blocking me from coming any closer. The green player aims. There is nothing I could do…. The beam burst out of the gun, but hits the wall, because I’ve ducked under the laser and is now sprinting past the green player. As I am sprinting around the corner, I turn and hit the green player right in the stomach. Their light flickers out.

 

Now I am directly in front of the green target and no one is in sight. A beam of light flows from my gun. I hit the target. A burst of relief fills me as I run back to my Base. But Just I arrive, the game finishes. I leave the arena confidently. I won.

It’s sunny outside in the light but I’m locked away, so all I see is the dark, this makes me even more fearful. All of a sudden I hear a loud noise from above me, and something falls onto the ground. I scream but cover my mouth afraid someone will hear me. I can’t see anything. Something rubs against my leg and I jump, terrifed. I look down and see that it’s only my cat. I relax and start to laugh forgetting to be quiet. Then the door opens and someone yells, 

“Found you!” and I sigh, for I have been caught.

It was my best friend's birthday party and we were going to Laser Force. We all got geared up and then watched a safety video that showed us how to play. We got put into teams and started to play.
 
The instructor said, ‘One, two, three go!”
I ran as fast as I could, trying not to get shot. I was like a sneaky little mouse hiding from a hungry vicious cat. 
‘Oh snap!” I said as I got hit on the shoulder. 
Suddenly one of my friends slipped and she started to cry, but no one else could hear her but me. So being the good friend that I am I went to help her. 

Unfortunately, I was losing all my points. Everyone kept on aiming at me. In the end I lost because I helped my friend, but at least I was being nice.

   

I kneel down silently in the shrub next to my friends. My heart beats fast as the tagger passes me. Silhouettes of my classmates running cast on the lawn as the tagger suddenly turns around and flashes the torch onto them “Spotlight!” she shouts.

Complaining children shuffle back into their cabins, but we still haven’t been found. 

“I think we have everyone” shouts one of the teachers 

“No you haven’t” whispers my friend Kate

All of a sudden the tagger turns around and shines the light onto the bush we were in "got you!" she shouts, we had been caught.

   Cold sweat rolled down my back as I lay on the floor and rolled under the bed, making the bags under the bed crackle. That should be enough noise, I thought to myself. I rolled out, quietly this time, and peered out the door. He heard the noise! Still, he was taking his time, trying to be quiet. As was I. I padded back into the bedroom and grabbed my brother’s phone with shaking hands. Quickly I texted my phone. I had hidden it specifically for this plan. DING! The scary silhouette turned, and lumbered towards the sound. This was my chance. 

   While darting towards the safe room it felt like time had slowed down. Every step was loud, slow and exhausting. But I made it. I would make a pretty good spy. 

 

“Found you!” And I got up and said

“Let’s play again.”

 Spotlight

 

The light beam was reflecting the enemy getting closer and closer. I was about to get endeveld down like a wolf ripping me up.  My heart quickened its beat thumping faster and faster.The enemy turned and looked the other way. 

“found you” 

he said with a crooked smile I knew I was going to be next I ducked and ran trying to win the battle. I was about to be the meat who got summoned and feasted on. My shadow was reflecting the enemy shon the light on me I ducked in an instance not knowing what was going to happen. Footsteps were getting further away I knew I was safe. The rattling sound of the tree was getting suspicious for the enemy who was going to find me soon “spotlight”.

  my face turned evil with a sly grin I hadn’t been found yet haha I said like a evil witch who was cooking up there curse.silence that's all I could hear. Footsteps getting closer. Step by step. The wicked laugh rose again. Not wondering where to go or hide. Beneath my feet leafs were being crunched the noise was louder than a cicada in the summer morning “crunch”. 

“SPOTLIGHT”

 I had been found I froze and stood still no emotion came out of me except for a loud laugh which got everyone laughing.

I jumped up into the tunnel and watched the tagger count. Loudly I hear shout and I suddenly knew, the tagger was coming. Quietly I lay still in the tunnel, I slowly get into a crawling position and get out, I lay low not knowing where the predator is. 

 

Now I was on a rock wall on the far side, then someone shouts “don’t tag me.” Slowly like a snail, I climb down then the tagger is near and I climb back up as they trap me, suddenly I hop down and run away like my life depends on it, everyone is at the base and I get cut off by the tagger, shock flows throughout my body, but it doesn’t distract me and I dodge the tagger and run away.

 

 

After a while I get out into open space and run, I touch The Base and I didn’t believe it  at first but I knew victory was mine, throughout my victory celebration I knew that the tagger would be out for me next time.  

The last stand began...

 the balls went whizzing past my head. (Probably because I was the team captain.)  We were playing capture the flag, very painful!

I decided that my team would win because that's how I roll. 

Then I went for the flag like a cheetah sprinting from a flash flood.  I had do do dive rolls and roly polys to snatch the flag off the cone.  Before the other team knew it my team had won.  We were the victors and we did a show off dance, screaming 'We beat you! We beat you!'

Phew that was a close one. But I spoke to soon completely out of nowhere comes two raging carnivores hungry for some lives. Looking around I see no escape except for behind me, I turn and start sprinting down the hill but I stop in dismay. Right there is a damp, murky swamp. Their not to far behind me now, I panic I don’t want to die. I fight through the mud and stop, there’s no way I can go any further. They stop. They think and come for me, they just won’t turn back one of their hand reaches out. This can’t happen, I only have 2 lives left. They connect this is terrible 1 life left, the next carnivore reaches, I react I jump and then the lifesaving car horn screeches I’m saved except I’m just super muddy but it was all worth it in the end.

As we walk down the hill to ready up our guns and load them with ammunition, the owner shouts, “Get ready to run! 3! 2! 1! Go!”. 

We all sprint down the hill and I hear shots already.  I see a long dark tunnel and go towards it. I hear footsteps behind me as someone falls down. 

I look behind me in the tunnel to see If anyone is still chasing me but see nothing. So I sit down to take a rest outside it. 

As I walk silently back into the tunnel, I think there are just two of us left, so I go to search for my enemy. Outside, he knows I am there and is prepared to shoot.
I quickly fall on the ground  with perfect timing just before he shoots.  
He misses and then I reflectively shoot him in the chest!  
"Yes!!!!!!!!" I say to myself.

We say 'good game' to each other and walk away.
