Working in groups implies collaboration, respect of the other human beings. PBL develop problem-solving skills and creativity which are highly requested also by the labour market. The use of technology is as well another important item. The students are motivated because they have to reach a goal and because they will receive a grade for their work. While the groups are developing their projects the teacher should open his/her eyes and ears in order to avoid piggybacking
of the lazier students, and at the end of the activity
not all the participants will receive the same grade.

I'm teaching Spanish in a secondary School. Thinking on my current teaching practice I guess I mix different ways ....depending on the situation, on the students and on the item. Sometimes I worked in groups and I would increase this PBL approach in my classes. The problem is the lack of time. I have few hours per week with each class and often the school burocracy occupies time that I'd prefer to dedicate to plan new Lissone and to learn, as a teacher, new approaches and modern ways such es the PBL.

I'm thinking about someting like How would be a Don Quijote nowadays....but may be it is too abstract. Or How would you organize an exposition of Picasso masterpieces. While thinking about it I found in the internet this video, here a professor of Spanish as a foreign Language explains the advantages of PBL. His school is the Punhau School in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The teamwork does not come naturally and the teacher should guide students in organizing roles and responsibilities of each person of the group, students have to learn how to talk one another in a respectful manner also when they disagree. Collaboration should continue also with different opinions. The teacher should give directing instructions to the groups, should move among the tablet.
