    • Get better at scaffolding to improve students' ability to develop explanations, write, critiques, and analyze and interpret data.

    • I would like to leverage the Cognitive Coaching training in order to strengthen my leadership and mentoring skills so that I can better support other teachers. 

    I would like to incorporate an anti-racist science lens within my science courses. 

    • Recognize and acknowledge whose voices matter and be intentional about how I position my students as knowers and co-creators in science, with equity of voice as a focal point.

    • Focus on equity as an environment, it’s not enough to be kind or compassionate! Creating environments where students have access and are represented in the learning process.

    • Challenge the idea that “all science learning can be understood as a cultural accomplishment” according to the NGSS framework. Who’s culture? Which cultures have historically been invited to sit at the table?
