         <description><![CDATA[<div>Frederick Douglass was once a slave then freed and became an abolitionist black man. Frederick Douglass wrote many anti slavery books. The books were directed on equal rights for all races and genders and he was considered radical in his thoughts. Frederick Douglass was a great example that black men can too be educated and think for themselves.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nat Turner's rebellion was a slave rebellion lead by Nat Turner who thought go spoke to him after reading the Bible and seeing signs. The rebellions plan was to kill as many white people as possible, and that is what they did killing about 60. this was obviously bad for planters so resulted in much stricter rules in the slave codes.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Liberator was an anti slavery newspaper criticizing slavery, whats wrong with it and how brutal it could be. The newspaper was founded by William Lloyd Garrison a "radical thinking" anti slavery white man. The Liberator played a big part in opening peoples eyes to the horrors of slavery and helped end it.</div>]]></description>

His efforts to end slavery played a part in the ending of slavery bringing attention to the cause and showing the passion he had for it lead to more abolitionist stepping up to end slavery.</div>]]></description>
