In document N it states that there is a fungus called ergot that grows in grains such as rye. The fungus could have been in their bread. Ergot can cause "crawling sensations in the skin, tingling in the fingers, vertigo, hallucinations,…mania, melancholia, psychosis, and delirium. All of these symptoms are alluded to in the Salem witchcraft records." One of the symptoms of this fungus is hysteria.

As you can see most of the evidence points to hysteria. The crop ergot can cause hysteria. Also when Bridget Bishop was being examined she shook her head and the afflicted "were tortured". To be honest, do you hear how unreal that sounds. It doesn't make sense. After the first person(Bridget Bishop) was hung, everyone started throwing accusations and it became the Salem Witch Trials.

The Salem Witch Trials took place from June to September 1692. They took place in the town of Salem, Massachusetts. Many people accused and were accused. Half the town accused some people and the other half defended them. In total 19 people were hung, and one unfortunate man, 81 year old Giles Corey was pressed to death.
