Each scence should only be about 5 minutes long. As long as it gets the point across.

Teach students how to take notes in an orderly fashion instead of just writing them down however. Maybe a graphic organizer or bullet points. Put a star next to more important or difficult things so they can come back to them.

Math:

Copy down each problem one by one slowly to make sure you get everything. Each step is numbered with the correct number.

Double check to make sure everything is correct. Space out each step to make sure you see mistakes or have paraprofessional right it out big and bold.

Language Arts:

Look over questions maybe only 4-5 at a time and focus on the easier ones first. Once you have done those, move to the harder ones and ask for help if needed.

Let your paraprofessional know if you need help.

Social Studies:

Have your paraprofessional look at the questions, and allow some time to look at the easier questions and put a star next to the harder ones.

Take a look at the questions and see which ones are hard/easy for you then ask for help if needed.

Science:

Music, music, music. Music is always helpful for memorizing or remembering things. Pick classical music to keep calm and makes it better to study or do your work.

Maybe you need something read to you, that is okay too. Separate students that may need questions read out loud to them so it doesn’t distract the other students.
