The entirety of the article goes on to explain the importance of what causes circulation of water in the oceans is all due to global warming. In the long-run, circulation occurs when warm tropical water cools, then travels north, which is what makes it dense. The dense water gets heavy and sinks to the bottom, so it travels south. This then causes the cycle to repeat. The author hints that the audience is living in those areas affected. The main used rhetorical device the author used was ethos, by having scientist-proven evidence. This is immensely helpful in proving the point of how global warming has become the root of many weather-related issues in the world. If the author had also included ways the circulation has a negative, the argument would have been stronger. Overall, this article was helpful in ways such as going into depth of costal circulation. 

Around the spring of 2023, scientists conducted air test experiments to see the levels of carbon dioxide. Unfortunately, the results were very unsatisfying, leading to further research of global warming issues. The author explains that within the next decade, there could be planetary disruption. The intended audience of this article were the ones who are environmentalists and want to prevent global warming. Logos is clearly displayed in this article multiple times by referring to stats, etc., which was helpful to understanding this viewpoint. This article clearly clarifies the intensity of the issue of global warming. After reading, it is obvious that the writer has a bias; global warming is a real issue, and that people need to start to take action in preventing/ slowing the issue. The article is difficult to comprehend, but overall, it was useful. 

In the article, “Evidence of shrinking glaciers,” the main point is to give evidence of how global warming is affecting the climate and the landscape of the planet. In the beginning of the article, the author gives endless examples of natural disasters that have happened around the world. Author George H. Kaplan explains what global warming means, and how it affects, specifically the polar regions. The intended audience of the article are ones who survived natural disasters caused by global warming. When Kaplan mentions natural disasters, he obviously uses pathos strategies to get the readers’ attention. On the second page of the article, George H. Kaplan defines what global warming is, and how it affects the climate of the world. The only defect there is, is that the article starts without context, which makes it difficult to catch on to the point. Overall, the article, “Evidence of shrinking glaciers,” is immensely useful to convince the reader that global warming is a real, non-theoretical, issue in the world.

This viewpoint explains how Beijing is the largest producer of electric vehicles, who carry the rest of the world in preventing more global warming. Later, the author explains that the entire Earth’s population needs to get on board with preventing further issues. The author writes in first person, which shows how, he included, the entire world is his audience. Logos is often included in the article, with statistics and data. Helping to clarify this worldwide situation, publisher, “AllAfrica Global Media” explains how global warming is affecting the entire world, instead of just one region. Since this viewpoint is written in first person, the author shares a bias with the reader, by mentioning their opinion on the situation. Overall, this article is insanely useful in understanding ways to further prevent global warming.
