This degree level course has been designed to help you acquire the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed in the work place. Our HNC or HND Construction course can be studied part-time, alongside your current employment, for two years at our Eastbourne campus.

The course offers specialist pathways designed to support progression into relevant occupational areas, such as surveying, or onto a top-up year of a degree.

You will learn more about project management, contracts management, alternative methods of construction, and develop skills in environmental assessment and monitoring.

The part-time HNC takes place on one day a week over two years, enabling students to work alongside in their related fields. On completion students can then progress to the HND for an additional two years, on one day a week term time, to complete the qualification.

Current fees are £2995 part-time, or one day a week.

Entry Requirements

For the HNC you will require minimum one of these ;

BTEC Extended Diploma, Subsidiary Diploma, T Level or a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in construction
One A Level grade C or above, or two A Levels and E grade or above
64 UCAS points, or any other equivalent qualifications
4 x GCSEs at 4/5 or C and above including maths and English and two years industrial experience

If you are a mature student and fall below the entry requirements, evidence of prior learning and relevant work experience will be considered.

All applicants will be interviewed by our Course Leader or lecturer.
