Listen carefully to the audio recordings and focus on the way the accents sound. Pair up the accents that, you think sound similar and give your idea on what kind of accents they can be, example: English accent, American accent , etc. Answer the last question by giving examples of words or sounds you thought were difficult to understand.

Listen to the recordings of Task1 and try to understand what the persons talk about

Put the accents in order of difficulty from the one that you find the hardest to understand to the one you find is the easiest to understand.

Then describe the accents, focus on the pronounciation, the intonation, the voices, consonants, vowels, etc. You can use the questions below to guide you in your answers, do not forget to give examples of the sounds you heard in the audio recordings.

- how are they talking? who is talking (man / woman)?

- are they speaking fast / slow? do they pronounce each letter?

- can you hear the vowel sounds and consonant sounds? describe them.
