The Colony known as Pennsylvania was covered in Rolling Hills with many trees in the area and very fertile soil. The Climate was very different during the year. This means that it is good for the colonists because they won't be freezing all year either or hot. With hot and humid summers and cold snowy winters. They had coastal plains, mountains, and plateaus, there were lots of low-lying hills and river valleys with long winters and summers and the average temperature is around 50 degrees Fahrenheit. This colony also has mountains, plateaus, and land suitable for farming. Natural resources in the Pennsylvania Colony included iron ore, coal, furs, forest, and farmland.

The economy of the colony of pennsylvania was very well organized. Most of the colonists were farmers who raised vegetables, corn, and wheat and grazed dairy cattle. Also there were only a few merchants and tradesmen in the towns. A few colonists were in the lumber business, selling timber for shipbuilding and export to england, and clearing trees for farmland. Pennsylvania was ranked a leading agricultural area. By the 1750s an exceptionally prosperous farming area had developed in southeastern Pennsylvania. Wheat and corn were the leading crops, though rye, hemp, and flax were also important. This shows that the economy in pennsylvania was very organized.
