If you feel that you are in need of food parcels, then, in the first instance, please contact Mrs Ainscough or Miss Wood in

confidence and they will help support you in accessing healthy meals to meet the needs of your family.

Children should dismount at the school gates and walk their bike or scooter to the appropriate area.

We would also like to remind parents and carers that any bikes or scooters brought onto school grounds are done so at your own risk. Bikes and scooters left on school property are not the responsibility of the school and we cannot accept liability for loss or damage.

Our key Bible verse for this half term is: “The Lord will guide you always” Isaiah 58:11

This week’s theme in collective worship has been “One Body, Many Parts” (from 1 Corinthians 12:12) and focuses on justice and inclusion.

The key message is that everyone is unique but equally important, like different parts of one body. No one should be left out and communities are stronger when everyone is included and supported. It encourages thinking about fairness - not everyone needing the same things, but each person getting what they need to succeed - and showing kindness, teamwork and respect so everyone can achieve their goals.

As we come to the end of our first week back after the Easter holidays, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what a truly wonderful start it has been to the summer term.

It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know so many of our families - both those who are new to our school and those familiar faces who make Leigh St Peter’s such a special place. The warm welcome I have received has been greatly appreciated and it has been lovely to begin building strong relationships across our community.

The beautiful weather has certainly helped to make this first week even more enjoyable and there has been a real sense of positivity and energy around school. It has been a joy to see the children so engaged, happy and ready to learn as we begin this new term together.

What has stood out most to me is what an amazing school and community we have here at Leigh St Peter’s. There is a genuine sense of care, pride and togetherness that shines through in everything that we do. I am incredibly proud to now be part of this community.

I am excited for what lies ahead and confident that, by working together, we will continue to grow and improve each day.

Thank you all for making this such a fantastic first week.
