They are hermaphrodites, and their bodies contain both sperm and eggs however they cannot fertilize themselves, so they don't have the numbers that land rabbits do. Japanese marine biologist Kikutaro Baba discovered the species and was the first to describe them in 1938, but they've been pretty much unknown since. The first animal to appear on Earth was very likely the simple sea sponge. New genetic analyses led by MIT researchers confirm that sea sponges are the source of a curious molecule found in rocks that are 640 million years old. Jorunna parva, commonly known as the sea bunny, is a species of dorid nudibranch, a shell-less marine gastropod mollusc in the family Discodorididae. Sea bunnies are so small one will fit on your fingertip. Predators stay away from these little slugs because they're very toxic.

Image result for How much is a sea bunnyPart of the reason you cannot have a sea bunny as a pet is because they only live for a few months to a year. Because of this, it's not very satisfying to have them in your aquarium. In addition to this, they are not approved to be kept as pets by marine authorities.

Its conservation status is not known, but it is presumably quite common. The sea bunny belongs to a taxonomical order of sea slugs called the nudibranchs (itself a member of the gastropod class), which come in all kinds of striking colors, exotic forms, and weird accouterments. These are incredibly diverse organisms.

The sea animal doesn't have any eyes and the tail is the animal's gills and they breathe out of their backside. The Sea Bunny's appearance is due to tiny little rods on its body that are called caryophyllidia that cover its back giving it its speckled appearance.
