Dear CIW,

We are Susan and Arden and we are 7th graders at the Fayerweather Street School in Somerville, MA. In our classroom we are learning about Migration and Immigration. So far we have learned about migrant farm laborers and the injustices they face by watching “Food Chains” and reading the CIW website. We have also learned about the CIW and other such organizations dedicated to combating these injustices. We are interested in learning even more and want to raise awareness and support the CIW in any way we can, especially in our school.

We are reaching out to see if there is anyone in the CIW who would be willing to speak with us for an online interview? With your permission, we would like to record and later write an article about our interview with someone from the CIW to share with our school and local community. Our goal being to hear a first person perspective about farm labor and fair food as well as learning what we can do from here in Massachusetts.
