It used software to engage students and facilitate learning. In the video, the speaker went onto explaining how students built an app to test skills of another student’s skills (Testing their friends and collaborating)

We can use it as a tool to engage students in topics that are relevant to them. It is a tool that is meant to be explored. As teachers we can allow students to use it as different ways of expressing their learning by creation rather than regurgitation.

As long as there is access to these mobile devices than other resources can become much more acceptable. The TedX video discusses e-books for all students when before there were only two paper copies. Paper copies also wear out and can go missing which are not risk factors with e-books. Information is also readily available. The internet is full of information. Teachers can help students explore answers to questions they don't know the answer too. This progresses students independent researching skills which will be very helpful in life after formal education.

- Caylin
