This organization has many businesses working with them to help the process go along. CAPA looks for people dedicated to ending child abuse and helps them go on to careers in this area, to fix the problems we face today. 

What do we do?
The CAPA hopes to stop all forms of child neglection and abuse.

Where do they operate?
The Child Abuse Prevention Association operates in Kansas City, Missouri and Independence, Missouri. 

When we were established?
CAPA was founded in 1975 as a information and crisis hotline. It later turned into an agency in 1978.

How do we operate?
The association works off of donations and has a variety of ways to help with child-related problems. They provide counseling, family support, other resources, and education promotions. 

Why is our work important?
Child abuse is being reported every ten seconds, there are 86,400 seconds in a day. That means that there are 8,640 reports in a day, and 3,153,600 reports in a year. In 2016, two years ago, there were 74 million people under eighteen and in 2014 about 702,000 people were affected by child maltreatment. The children are the next policemen, firefighters, teachers, presidents, mayors, and all the other occupations that run our communities, cities, states, and even world. We work together to make our world better, we can only depend on them to enhance our world and the way it operates. The children that are being raised poorly, neglected, and abused have their chances taken away from them. Some might not think there is much to live for, they can get into things they shouldn’t because they are not being treated right. They look down on themselves and don’t take opportunities they can use for bigger things. These children are our only hope for life to continue, we need them to continue feeling wanted, and powerful. So that our world can stay powerful.

It surprised me to see the many hotlines and the businesses. involved. Looking at the data for child abuse and neglect from Missouri, the numbers tend to stay in the same range. Like I said in the Background/Basics section, helping these kids out will help our world later on. The different hotlines can help more people then only having one.
