-This is important because students won't want to learn/have a lack of motivation if they don't know why they are learning or when they will ever use this information. Not only that, but providing connections to the outside world will spark interest and can deepen their understanding of a concept/topic. By connecting learnings to students lives (cultural lives, work lives, connect to prior knowledge and experiences) it will help them succeed in that area.

This is difficult for teachers to implement for many reasons. Teachers will have students with different levels that will need different supports than others, and it can be hard to find the right supports or the time. Not only that, but there are different areas in which teachers can provide supports to students which can be a lot. Teachers can provide emotional supports, behavioral supports, learning supports, ect. 

2.) Teachers usually approach these difficulties by seeking information and help from coworkers and staff. This way teachers are able to get a variety of ideas and able to get information from teachers who have worked with this before/many years. Teachers are also able to start out by providing small supports to students and get better from there. Teachers are taking into consideration what each student needs to be successful.

3.) Technologies and tools are used to support this by being a way teachers can get more information on providing the best supports. Also, technology can be a learning support for students interest and engagement. It's a way for students to get meaningful learning out of technologies and tools used to support the lesson. Provides teachers with a way to stretch students thinking by using different tools and technologies.

Teachers have a very timed-out day, and it doesn't leave much room for adding additional learning, so it can be hard for teachers to take time to go over how the lesson is relevant. 

2.) Teachers usually approach these difficulties by making it a set plan to go over how what they learned is relevant and how it connects to their lives. Teachers will realize that this is a very important part of learning, so they will make time for it even if students don't quite have the method/topic mastered yet. Teachers will also implement it into their lesson so it won't be adding more time or extra time than planned. They will incorporate it so that it does get talked about.

3.) Technologies and tools are used to support this by being a way teachers can show/explain why a certain method/topic is important and how it connects to everyday lives. It also is a way to provide a deeper understanding of how it is used/its usefulness in the outside world by providing videos, pictures, ect. This will create interest in students and makes the learning more meaningful.

4.) New ways teachers are approaching this problem are by always asking themselves when writing a lesson, "how is this learning relevant to students lives or the outside world?"
