King Arthur by Jermaine Galea

"The one true king of the Britons"
Who was he?
King Arthur was the king of Camelot. He led multiple battles against the invading Saxons in the 6th century. No one knows whether King Arthur was real or not; the first mention of King Arthur is in a book written by a welsh man called Nennius. Nennius listed 12 battles that King Arthur had been involved in. The legend of King Arthur spread fast, especially after the Norman invasion in 1066.
King Arthur is well known for his Magic sword (Excalibur) his trusted knight (Lancelot) his wife (Queen Guinevere) and his wizard friend (Merlin). King Arthur became king by pulling the magical sword (Excalibur) out of a stone. The only person, who was able to remove the sword from the stone, was Arthur. From that day on, he was known as King Arthur.

There is no real evidence of King Arthur ever existing but there have been many stories on his life. I believe that the stories of King Arthur are true.

The biggest choice Arthur had to make was becoming king; it was a very big decision and it came with lots of responsibilities. Becoming King meant that Arthur had to uphold lots of tasks; such as knighting people, organising taxes and Fighting battles. There were some plus sides; he married queen Guinevere, he had lots of fame and gold and he lived in a big castle.
