It’s almost impossible to obtain in my view if you believe it is materialistic, but if you see it within happiness that’s another story. The American dream can simply be obtained by being happy with your life. But some don’t believe that, they believe the only way to obtain the American dream is to live in the nicest house and drive the nicest cars. That makes me sad that that’s all living in America is about anymore. People only work on themselves and what they have materialistically. There is so much more than that, relationships and fun times have a big impact on how people live life happily.

In conclusion, considering others views of the American dream, my view of the American dream is that it is possible and differs from person to person. I believe I obtain the American dream, I have a big loving family and am happy. My life is stress free and I don't have to worry about anything.  My parents are successful and I am thankful for them giving me so many opportunities. As I see others struggling to obtain “their” idea of the American dream, it makes me differ if I even obtain it, or just believe that I do. Some have money and believe they don't obtain it, but others have very little money and believe that they have it all. It changes over time, with what is the "best" thing to have at the time. Some including cars, big houses, money, etc. But others might think of the American dream as family and happiness. 

They might not even bring money into the perspective at all. Freedom is another way to see the American dream, some in other countries risk their lives trying to get to freedom which is their idea of the dream. When people think of America, they think freedom. All Americans have part of the American dream because freedom is part of it. So the dream is partly possible to obtain. The economy can also contribute to what people think of the American dream, the economy now is not very good and this can negatively affect people who believe that the American dream is having a perfect country and not having any issues with how the economy is. People from other countries might believe that the American economy is amazing and risk their lives to come over for a better economy and it ends up the same as it was in their countries. These can be a major affect how others see the american dream and it they believe that it still exist or not.
