Sundays are days for myself — days I spend alone, dedicated to my thoughts. On these days, my mind runs wild, touching on my family, friends, my job, my good and bad deeds, and my plans for the future. For all this, I need peace and quiet. Rita’s terrace offers exactly that — the sun doesn’t scorch here, and a soft breeze keeps me cool. It’s the perfect place for my Sunday: no external influences, no expectations. Just me, with myself.

My time and energy are poured solely into my own wellbeing — and that’s why today, I am happy.

Today was a wonderful day in a magnificent setting. Early in the morning, I went swimming. I truly enjoyed simply feeling my breath and being alone with my thoughts. It was the little things that made me happy today — the colorful fish underwater, a coffee on the beach, a cozy breakfast under the palm trees right by the sea, and lots of peace and quiet.

A sudden jolt in my back, like a silent lightning strike, left me breathless and still. In that instant, movement became impossible, and every thought was consumed by the pain. Yet in that moment of vulnerability, I discovered a deeper kind of strength: friendship.

👫 The friends who rushed to my side, who cared for me without hesitation, turned my immobility into an invisible embrace. It’s strange how pain can reveal the beauty of being surrounded by people who won’t leave you behind—who become your hands, your legs, and your heart when you can’t move.

🌟 The discomfort bent me, but the fortune of having others care for me lifted me back up. And maybe, in certain moments, true relief isn’t just physical—it’s deeply human.

Today was a gift—a rare opportunity to slow down and reconnect with myself. Milva and I spent the day exploring some of Guadeloupe’s most breathtaking corners. The serene beauty of Plage de Malendure set the tone, and our excursion aboard the Nautilus revealed the hidden wonders of the seabed near îlet Des Pigeons. Glistening coral, vibrant marine life—it felt like peering into another world.

On our way back, we paused at Cascade aux Écrevisses, where the gentle rush of water and lush greenery reminded us of nature's soothing touch. Yet, the final stop at Petit Bourg stirred a quieter, more solemn reflection. The signs of poverty and the invasive sargassum algae—its scent harsh and its presence overwhelming—offered a stark contrast to the earlier scenes of beauty.

The day became not only a journey through landscapes but also a meditation on our responsibility as humans. Nature dazzles us, shelters us, nourishes us—but it is fragile. Each ecosystem is a delicate web, and our choices leave footprints. The balance we disturb can ripple through generations.

This experience wasn’t just a break. It was a reminder: wonder and awareness should always walk hand in hand.
