Studying Jonah this summer helped me remember that God is our sovereign Creator, the God of heaven and earth, who rules over the sea and the land. I noticed how He changed my heart, when we had that tornado and I felt steadfast in my trust in Him and His being in control, even in the storm. Through this Jonah Bible Study, I learned more about God's character of being merciful, compassionate, gracious, and slow to anger.

I learned that Jonah didn't listen to God, and he got swallowed by a fish. When we disobey we have punishments, but Jesus took them away.

I learned that God is full of mercy, which will hopefully change my heart to be more merciful.
