In my opinion, the meaning of design for me is a work process which has a user perspective and drives development based on your specific customers’ needs. Design is about progress. It is the conceptualization and creation of new things. Either in the form of ideas, interactions, information, objects, typefaces, books, posters, products, places, websites, and more.

Realization of a concept or idea into a configuration, drawing, model, mould, pattern, plan or specification and which helps achieve the item`s designated objective.

 

Designing often necessitates considering the aesthetic, functional, economic, and sociopolitical dimensions of both the design object and design process. It may involve considerable research, thought, modeling, interactive adjustment, and re-design. Meanwhile, diverse kinds of objects may be designed, including clothing, graphical user interfaces, products, skyscrapers, corporate identities, business processes, and even methods or processes of designing.

 

Thus "design" may be a substantive referring to a categorical abstraction of a created thing or things (the design of something), or a verb for the process of creation as is made clear by grammatical context.

 

 

Design is an approach to problem-solving that applies the cognitive activities of design thinking. These are the processes designers leverage to ideate and create solutions. Design involves putting yourself in the shoes of the user, whether it is a customer or a learner. It means seeing the world through their eyes. Effective designs shift the thinking from technology or objects to people. 

Design is one thing that existed before humans did. I believe that from the arrangements of billions of stars in billions of galaxies to the living cell organisms, everything has been designed. Human life has been designed, the Earth has been designed. Science has been designed. Atoms are designed in certain ways which we call types of matter. Everything that you see, or you miss to see. The space between your eyes and the screen you’re reading this at, where you think you see nothing, has been designed. The point of all this is to simplify the things that you cannot observe and is really where good design lies. 

In my opinion, aesthetics is a principles concerned with the nature and appreciation of beauty. The principles of arts are related to daily living and culture to understand the expression.
