If the Philippines were to strengthen its international alliances, Japan and Australia would be two of the best countries to partner with. Japan, known for its technological innovation and cultural discipline, has long been a valuable friend to the Philippines. It has supported the country through various infrastructure projects like the Metro Manila Subway and provided consistent humanitarian aid during natural disasters. Japan's strong educational system also makes it an attractive ally. A deeper alliance could open more opportunities for Filipino students through scholarships, exchange programs, and advanced technical training.

Meanwhile, Australia stands out as a reliable defense and education partner. The Philippines and Australia have a strong military relationship, highlighted by joint training and cooperation under the Status of Visiting Forces Agreement (SOVFA). This enhances the Philippines’ ability to respond to both natural and man-made threats. Additionally, Australia's world-class education system has already benefited many Filipino scholars. A stronger alliance would mean greater access to Australian universities, professional development, and cross-cultural learning experiences.

Together, Japan and Australia offer the Philippines a powerful combination of technological expertise, defense cooperation, and educational support making them ideal allies in both regional and global affairs.

One of ASEAN’s greatest strengths lies in its economic diversity and cultural richness. The region is home to over 600 million people and offers a wide range of resources and specialties from Brunei’s oil reserves to the Philippines’ skilled labor force and Vietnam’s agricultural exports. ASEAN also plays a crucial role in promoting peace through diplomacy and non-interference in domestic affairs, making it a stable and resilient regional bloc. The collaboration among member nations during natural disasters and health crises is a clear example of their solidarity and mutual support.

Looking to the future, ASEAN holds tremendous potential to become a global economic force. I propose establishing refill stations in schools, malls, and barangays where people can refill essentials like shampoo, detergent, and cooking oil using reusable containers. These stations would reduce single-use plastics by offering discounts to those who bring their own bottles.

My Solution:
