In the event that we need to remotely provide instruction again, I would like to have as many tricks up my sleeve as possible. It is my goal to build upon the skillset that I have to become a better educator.

I see this including thoughtful consideration of new technology options for focused learning, increased independence resulting in authentic student learning. Rather than overloading students, parents and support staff with technology, I hope to explore more of the technology available and then provide cohesive  lessons that include apps or platforms that are appropriate to student learning needs and abilities. Plans need to be accessible, align to offer some familiarity to existing classroom routines and provided needed differentiation an include collaboration with IT and student teams 
so lessons can  dovetail with related service provision, accessibility, and ease of use.  I also want to explore creating learning communities and resources for parents who will be supporting students with significant needs in virtual learning opportunities.  I see a great potential for virtual learning to supplement classroom learning for the students who may be out of school for significant time due to medical condition or procedures as well. Lots of pieces to pull together that didn't seem to pan out in while in the moment of virtual learning , then hybrid learning and then full in learning.

As I was fully remote for the entirety of the school year, I have felt very isolated.  I am realizing now, the value of connection in validating my feelings.  Additionally, listening to others brings insight into some of the positive takeaways from this year.  My intention in taking this course is to connect with others and to strengthen my skills as an online educator in the wake of this school year.  I hope to sort out some of the roadblocks that I experienced throughout the course of the school year in learning about the availability of other technology.

Goals -- To learn and feel excited about teaching again! Exploring and learning about new tech on a slower pace will help me appreciate the tech side of what I do more.
